Chris & Lauren {Port Townsend, WA Wedding Photographer}

I have had the amazing opportunity to be B. Jones Photography's primary 2nd photographer for the past two years. Becca is a spectacular film-inspired photographer and she specializes in nautical weddings and Chris & Lauren had the epitome of a nautical celebration.

It was blistery cold, rainy and windy but Chris and Lauren were incredible sports as we photographed them at the NW Martime Center, designed by Lauren's father! While it was too cold to have the ceremony outside, the upper deck was transformed into a nautical paradise overlooking the sound.

Kim + Kelley Photography has been bright and bold since our inception as Hand in Hand Photography in 2010, lately however, I have shifted in our editing style to moody and film inspired channeling a classic result. I hope you enjoy the new look of Kim + Kelley as much as I do.

xoxo,

kim

Stephanie & Dino {Woodinville, WA Wedding Photographer}

As always, it is a joy to be a professional 2nd photographer and even more so when I get to work with amazing artist such as Jeanne Phinney of Jeanne Phinney Photography.

Stephanie & Dino had an amazing modern wedding at Woodinville's incredible Novelty Hill Winery. With zen garden backdrops and vivid red walls, their sunset ceremony couldn't have been more romantic or more "them".

It was also the first time I had been in a barrel room! With aging red wine all around us we managed to carve our a space to make their own and create wonderful memories.

Congratulations Stephanie & Dino!

Heidi & Chris {Seattle, WA Engagement Photographer}

This sweet mini-engagement session was taken at dusk in Discovery Park and it was so much fun to battle the elements with Heidi & Chris. Overcast and windy, it was nevertheless a beautiful August evening.

Heidi and Chris are adventurers who love the outdoors so I felt like this was the absolute perfect location. I am so excited to photograph their wedding next week!

Reception Kim + Kelley Style

It has come to our attention recently that our portfolio is severely lacking in Party Photos! We have to rectify this immediately. The reception is the culmination of all of the hard work put into the wedding as well as the celebration of the newly married couple with all the friends and family who came to support them. We. Love. Receptions. Some of our favorite memories over the past six years have come straight from the reception and we would love to share just a few of them with you. Enjoy.

First Birthday {Seattle, WA Adoption Photographer}

Being an adoption photographer and advocate I get to see so many families in various places in their adoption journey. But no matter where a family is, the love I see is the same and that's what I enjoy most about my job.

We celebrated the littlest daughter's first birthday at Discovery Park in Seattle and it was all joy, smiles and slobbery kisses.

I am so grateful to have met this amazing family and been apart of this special birthday!

Mary & Anne {Everett, WA Wedding Photographer}

Every wedding is important to us. It is such a monumental day for our couples. A day that has been fretted about for months or years and in most cases very expensive. It is a day where two people commit themselves to one another for the rest of their lives. But some weddings we cherish a little bit more. And this is such a wedding. This couple, sweet Mary and Anne have been together for 17 years. They have been through the trials of life and family and have maintained their love. To me, this wedding is so much more than the giving of oneself to another. It is the affirming of a family, the celebration of a couple who has lived well and conquered much and are continuing strong.

Mary & Anne had a beautiful Episcopal ceremony with a First Nations Sage blessing. Their daughter Mary Lambert played several songs, one being a surprise from Anne to Mary! Everything about their wedding was sacred and full of emotions. Congratulations Mary and Anne, I am so excited to have been your documentarian!

Fun fact! Couples have taken their first photograph as a married couple outside of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Everett for 105 years!

Makayla & Trey {Arlington, WA Wedding Photographer}

I was so excited to shoot at the beautiful venue Winding Path this past weekend. With pine tree mazes and a beautiful garden grounds it was a stunning backdrop to Makayla and Trey's country chic wedding.

Makayla and Trey were high school sweet hearts and together as long as anyone can remember. I was able to chat with Trey's beautiful cousin Arryn and she had told me Makayla was just always part of the family, no awkward dating period, just family.

It was such an honor to be apart of their beautiful wedding alongside Jeanne Phinney Photography. Congratulations Makayla and Trey!!

Andrew & Courtney {Willows Lodge Woodinville, WA Wedding Photographer}

Aside from shooting k+k weddings, I am also a professional second shooter. This beautiful wedding was shot with my dear friend and amazing college Jeanne Phinney of Jeanne Phinney Photography. I am so lucky to be able to be her second shooter several times a year as she's an incredible professional and photographer.

Roxy & Vanessa {Franklin Falls, WA Wedding Photographer}

This elopement is what dreams are made of. My dear friend Jeanne called me  a few days before the wedding, knowing this is exactly something I would love, and she was so right. Elaine is an officiant based out of Seattle who does unique and creative elopements and I cannot say enough amazing things about her or the wonderful service she provides to her clients. She and Jeanne orchestrated this beautiful elopement under Franklin Falls and I was so humbled to be able to take part. Here are just a few of my favorites from our time together.

Josh & Nicole {Snohomish, WA Wedding Photographer}

Nicole & Josh had such a sweet barn and DIY wedding on a beautiful July day in Washington. Craven farm was a beautiful backdrop and the temperature was perfect (as we Washingtonians tend to melt fairly easy).

You don't have to be around Nicole & Josh very long to realize their love is built on a genuine appreciation of being around one another. The whole day was filled with love and laughter and complete joy of celebrating these two amazing people.

When Nicole told me she was creating paper flowers for the florals, I had no idea about the beautiful elaborate display she would create. Not just the flowers but the greenery as well! It took me a few glances to realize the centerpiece was paper and not real flowers!!

After a wonderful day and great BBQ, Nicole & Josh left on motorcycle to their honeymoon in Ireland! I am so grateful to have been their documentarian <3 Congratulations Nicole & Josh!

Johnny & Erin {Seattle, WA Engagement Photographer}

When I met these two they wanted to make sure I knew that they felt awkward in front of the camera. And while they may have felt awkward, they had nothing to worry about. Because taking good photos is not always about perfect posing. Especially engagement photos. A good photo is about capturing the love of the two people in front of me, and they made that utterly, ridiculously, easy. I can't wait to photograph your wedding Johnny & Erin!!

Ashlee & Jose {Northbend, WA Wedding Photographer}

When Ashlee e-mailed me a few weeks before her wedding I thought it had to be fate that I had her wedding off, the only Saturday in two months I had available. And WHAT a beautiful and wonderful country wedding they had. With dear friends and family we celebrated this incredible couple.

Also, can I say how lucky we were the rain held off just long enough for us to get our portraits done??

Congratulations Ashlee and Jose, thank you for letting me capture your wedding.

Ray & Celine {Bellevue, WA Engagement Photographer}

3 years ago I shot Ray's brother's wedding and little did I know that the man who caught the garter (Ray) and the woman who caught the bouquet (Celine) would be engaged to each other in just a few years!

And these two are absolutely the funnest couple. Our session was full of laughter and playing as they took a moment to enjoy the day with me and my camera.

And did I mention he's a fellow geek? Total K + K bonus points.

Congratulations Ray & Celine! We cannot wait to get down at your wedding!

Princess Party {Bothell, WA Event Photographer}

2016-04-08_0013.jpg

With a large family, birthday parties can be overwhelming. If I were to plan each party individually, we would have someone's birthday almost every other month! So as to save my sanity, we decided to have gendered parties. One for the boys in the spring and one for the girls in the fall.

And let me just say, it was so much fun to plan each party. From personalized watercolor seat portraits to glammed candles, my girls' birthday parties was one to remember.

Did I mention the princesses'? We also had princesses :)
